Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the United States as well as Mexico, is an American-Mexican sportscaster. Her current job is with ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter and sometimes hosts SportsNation. She was hired by ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. Her mother is television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is native to two languages. When she was just nine years old, her ability to speak two languages has allowed her to get a job in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. After this, she was hired by the CBS affiliate of St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. In 2009 she relocated away from Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent on KNVO TV 48 Univision. Reporters covered issues related to the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs across both Texas as well as Mexico. In addition, she was used at times as a news and sports anchor. She was then anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given more responsibility. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and the NBA Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. She became a sports host on the morning show on Despierta America Deportes. It was the same role as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo for the UniMas Network. Antonietta's parents come from Veracruz Mexico. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November the 22nd of November, 1985. There is a sister. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. Then, shortly afterward the family split up, and in the year 1995, Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. Her residence was with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime in which she was offered the opportunity of a job. Antonietta was a senior in high school but she had a clear idea of the path she wanted to pursue. While deciding if Mount Union was right to her needs, Antonietta visited the campus. It turned out that she loved the school and they were offering the kind of program she was searching for. After completing her high school education she attended the University to pursue media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the director of WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a part. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to believe in herself and was greatly moved by his love of journalism.
