Valerie Anne Bertinelli (born April 14 70 years ago) was an American writer and actor. The two-time Golden Globe Award winning star gained notoriety through her appearances in CBS's One Day at a Time and as Barbara, and Hot in Cleveland in which she portrayed Melanie Moretti. Since her teenage years she has grown into an accomplished character actor. At the age of a little girl, her connection to the world that she had with the daughter of a TV producer led to a long-lasting fascination with the field. Bertinelli then decided to pursue acting as profession. Bertinelli was a teenager who attended the Tami Lynn School of Artists started her television career. Because of her excellent acting abilities and confidence, Bertinelli quickly became a household name in the industry.
